(RTTNews) - Thursday, Polaris Inc. (PII) announced the recall of the 2024 Ranger XD 1500 and Ranger Crew XD 1500 models, due to a potential fire hazard linked to overheating winch wiring. The recall affects approximately 10,500 Recreational Off-Road Vehicles or ROVs and 1,336 winches, including around 660 ROVs sold in Canada.

Polaris is recalling almost 21,000 vehicles due to faulty winches and fire hazards in fuel tanks, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said. The company is recalling 10,300 Sportsman ATVs and 3,200 fuel pumps, saying the ATV can leak fuel at the fuel pump flange outlet, posing a fire hazard and risking serious injury to the rider or passenger.
