NEW YORK (AP) — X is teaming up with Visa to soon offer a system for real-time payments on the social media platform — signaling some progress in a yearslong vision from billionaire owner Elon Musk to create an “everything app.”

Payments giant Visa and Elon Musk's X are partnering to offer direct payment solutions to customers of the social media app, a person familiar with the matter told Reuters on Tuesday.

Even though Yaccarino announced that Visa is X Money's first digital wallet partner, we shouldn't expect an official launch for a while. It's still unclear whether this will roll out in phases or be available internationally. Neither Visa nor X immediately responded to a request for comment.
