David Rhodes, Sky News executive chairman and former CBS News head, is in talks to run CBS News again if the Skydance acquisition of the broadcaster's owner Paramount Global closes, digital news website Puck reported on Friday.
Skydance's CEO told the FCC this week that CBS would reflect "varied ideological perspectives" of U.S. viewers, while touting "American storytelling."
A new report from Puck's Matt Belloni is shedding light on the finances that led to CBS' bombshell cancellation of "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert."
Ellison "discussed Skydance’s commitment to unbiased journalism and its embrace of diverse viewpoints" in the meeting, as well as concerns about Tencent's stake in the company.
