The Colts are 0-2 as they head into this weekend's game against the Bears and two things jump out when you start looking at reasons why they've lost both their games.

Jonathan Taylor, who did not play a single snap in the Colts' loss to the Packers last Sunday, defended his coach on Thursday, citing the need to use the team's other running backs, and his own shortcomings in passing situations.

Taylor struggles in the passing game, but that's not a good enough reason to keep him off the field for the entire fourth quarter of a game.

Sermon got the first snap of the quarter, a puzzling decision considering the Colts ran a speed option to the left side. Quarterback Anthony Richardson tried to make Packers safety Xavier McKinney commit, then pitched the ball to Sermon and McKinney was able to redirect and drop Sermon for a 4-yard loss.

With the Colts defense unable to slow the opponent’s run game again, the Packers dominated the time of possession, holding the ball for 40:11 to the Colts 19:49. The Indianapolis offense also found themselves trailing by double-digits for a decent portion of the game as well.
