The return of wildfire smoke from fires burning in Canada has sparked another air quality alert in Minnesota, which will be in effect through Tuesday. The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has placed the northern two-thirds of the state in the red alert zone, which means "unhealthy" for all residents, through 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Wildfire smoke returns to Minnesota on Sunday, sweeping in from the northwest to the southeast.

West-Northwest Winds will continue to bring Smoke south from Canada into Minnesota Today and at times Air Quality in the Twin Cities may be Poor this morning into the afternoon otherwise expect Sunny Skies with highs in the low 80s and West-Northwest Winds at 5 to 10 mph.
