A domestic violence suspect barricaded in an apartment complex in the south Natomas area was found dead when authorities were able to get inside, Sacramento police said late Friday morning.
A police tactical team is now at the complex in the 2700 block of Orchard Lane in the Willowcreek neighborhood with crisis negotiators called in to contact the suspect barricaded inside one of the residences, Sacramento police said just after 6 a.m.
The suspect, 31-year-old Cameron Leverett, remains hospitalized. He is charged with numerous counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
