Memphis Grizzlies forward Santi Aldama put together a strong performance on both ends in Friday's win against the San Antonio Spurs.

Victor Wembanyama may be the single most imposing rim protector in NBA history. He's only in his second season, but his combination of elite athleticism for his size, stellar shot-blocking instincts and absurd eight-foot wingspan makes him a nearly impenetrable obstacle for drivers at the basket.

Ja Morant is out for Grizzlies-Spurs on Friday night and this latest absence has huge implications for the end of the season.

Morant has had several injuries over the past two seasons, and hopefully, this doesn't become a regular thing for one of the young, budding stars in the league. It will be interesting to see what his availability looks like closer to game time.

Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins gave an update on Morant's injury after they ruled him out of Friday's contest due to right foot soreness. "He's been nursing a foot sprain since the Houston home game," Jenkins said. "Last game against the Spurs, he got tangled up, had a little collision there with a Spurs player that really worsened it."
