Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Justin Fields posted a message on his Instagram ahead of NFL free agency and the 2025 offseason.
He continued: “People around the league are torn about what the Steelers should or will do at quarterback. The Russell Wilson experiment was not a failure -- he showed promise and gave the offense a lift midseason. Even though he was benched this season with the Steelers, Mike Tomlin still believes in Justin Fields as a starting quarterback.
The Steelers have plenty of options to consider about quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Justin Fields heading into next season.
This would put the Steelers in line to draft a quarterback early in the 2025 NFL draft with Fields or Wilson as the bridge player until they are ready to start. This is much more of a Wilson scenario over Fields but more on that as the offseason goes on.
