Over the next five years, British Airways is expected to take 72 new aircraft including the A350, Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner, along with the Airbus A320/A321neo.

The Airbus A320 is the mainstay of the family, and carries 150-180 passengers depending on configuration. Alaska Air now flies about 60 Airbus A320s inherited from Virgin America.

BA’s current A320 family fleet comprises the ten CFM56-powered A320s and 57 V2500-powered aircraft – 33 A319s, 17 A320s and seven A321s.
