Limited, a global technology giant, has announced a definitive agreement to purchase Infinidat Ltd, a leading provider of high-end enterprise storage solutions. This acquisition is a part of Lenovo's growth strategy to bring unique technology solutions to the market and further enhance its enterprise storage offerings globally.

Founded in 2011, Infinidat specializes in data storage, data protection, business continuity, and sovereign cloud storage solutions. Headquartered in Herzliya, Israel, and Waltham, Massachusetts, the company has raised $370 million in funding to date, with its last raise taking place in 2020.

Lenovo has been building an enterprise storage business since its acquisition of IBM’s storage business, but has not had the success its rivals have enjoyed.

Lenovo looks to expand its standing in the high end of the enterprise storage market, where it has had less presence, with its planned acquisition of Infinidat.

Infinidat previously raised more than $350 million in funding from TPG, Goldman Sachs and other investors. The company achieved profitability in 2022. Infinidat offers two storage array families known as the InfiniBox and InfiniBox SSA lines.
