Per Michael Silver of The Athletic, the 49ers and TE George Kittle “remain far apart in discussions” about an extension heading into offseason workouts.

The 49ers begin their offseason program Tuesday, and it is uncertain whether tight end George Kittle and linebacker Fred Warner will show up to the voluntary workouts, Michael Silver of TheAthletic.com reports.

George Kittle has been a longtime fixture in the San Francisco 49ers offense, entering his ninth season with the team, Kittle has played in 113 games, starting 105 of them. Kittle has been named to six Pro Bowls and is a two-time First-Team All Pro selection. With the release of Kyle Juszcyk this offseason, Kittle is the sole longest-tenured 49er.
