Dallas Cowboys star quarterback Dak Prescott is leaving no doubt on what is fueling him for the 2025 NFL season, his 10th in the league.

In April, the Dallas Cowboys acquired Joe Milton and a seventh-round pick from the New England Patriots in exchange for a fifth-round pick. Milton is the No. 2 QB on the depth chart behind Dak Prescott, who enters year one of a $240 million extension.

At the start of training camp, Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer said his expectations in Oxnard are for the team to have "physical a-- practices."

Prescott has never performed a holdout or hold-in for a new contract, but when he signed his four-year $240 million deal with $231 million guaranteed featuring an NFL-high $60 million average salary, he didn’t get it until the morning of the 2024 season opener.
