As the Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress and Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party gave its support to Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party for upcoming Delhi assembly elections, Congress on Wednesday gave a disclaimer to its allies saying the party "is sacrificing so many things" for the INDIA bloc.

The former chief minister, accompanied by his wife Sunita, offered prayers at Hanuman temple and Valmiki temple in the morning before heading to the New Delhi district magistrate's office, where he will file his nomination papers.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday said that AAP is stronger than the Congress in Delhi so his party has decided to stand with AAP. Speaking to ANI, Akhilesh Yadav said, "The regional party fighting against the BJP should be supported by the leaders of the INDIA alliance.
