Melissa Rivers revealed that she managed to save an irreplaceable item belonging to her late mother, Joan Rivers, before evacuating her home.

Melissa lost her a 7,048-square-foot, six-bedroom Mediterranean-style home in Santa Monica in the Palisades Fire on Wednesday.

Melissa said her "heart is so broken" as the Pacific Palisades was "wiped off the map" by the fires: "That's the end of everything that belonged to my family and the history of it."

More than 1,000 homes, businesses, and buildings have been destroyed by the devastating fires across the Los Angeles area.
