The Major League Baseball trade deadline is July 31, which means we're eight days away and the ticking of the clock is starting to become audible. We've seen very little movement thus far, but there's still some sorting out to be done in the standings and we've got over a week.

Despite sitting in the third wild-card spot in the National League, the San Diego Padres are at least willing to listen to offers Dylan Cease prior to the July 31 trade deadline.

But, the Padres might not only buy players at the deadline. According to MLB insider Buster Olney, the Padres are reportedly putting Dylan Cease out there as a player who could be traded at the deadline.
