Samuel Basallo had an eventful MLB debut, Dean Kremer shoved and the Orioles’ young core went off offensively in a 12-0 win over the Astros.

Although the Astros went 3-3 on the homestand, they were outscored 44-17. Even when they play .500, the 2025 Astros seem lucky. They currently hold a one-game lead in the AL West, pending the Mariners’ nationally televised game later this evening.

The Orioles led 1-0 when Javier left the game, plating their only run on a sacrifice fly by Gunnar Henderson in the third. Right-hander Shawn Dubin replaced him and proceeded to give up four earned runs in the fifth, including a three-run homer by Jordan Westburg that put Baltimore up 5-0.
