EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — East Hartford-based Pratt & Whitney is cutting some jobs, a company spokesperson said Wednesday. The spokesperson said the company will conduct “a small reduction of salaried positions globally” to “reinvest in high-priority programs and better meet the strong demand for aerospace products.”

Pratt & Whitney will expand its turbine airfoil manufacturing plant in Buncombe County, creating 325 additional jobs with an additional capital investment of $285 million.
