While it is known the Boston Red Sox are one of the teams in on Roki Sasaki, the Japanese ace to be posted to the MLB, it wasn’t clear how committed they were until now. Per Chris Cotillo, Chair of Baseball Operations Craig Breslow and top Sox execs took a personal trip to see Sasaki pitch at the end of the NPB season.

Roki Sasaki is headed to MLB, and there will be no shortage of speculation he has eyes for only the Los Angeles Dodgers. The circumstantial evidence supports, but by no means proves such a conclusion.
