Europe's most active volcano, Mount Etna on Sicily, is erupting again, sending tourists running away from a huge plume of ash and smoke in the air and lava flowing down its slope.

The explosion was the strongest since 2021, expelling ash, dust, lava and a pyroclastic flow, but no injuries or deaths were reported

Videos circulating on social media showed visitors rushing to descend the mountain as volcanic plumes rose overhead.
