Two businesses have been shortlisted for the Sedgemoor Awards 2024. Green Machine, a commercial cleaning business, has been nominated for the Sustainable Business of the Year award.

The annual gathering brings together countries and members that jointly account for almost two-thirds of global GDP.

Mr Dissanayake was elected president in September in a rejection of traditional political parties that have governed the island nation.
