Almost two years after a shooting at a Stockton park killed a 17-year-old high school student, police said they have arrested a suspect.

A man has been arrested in connection with the 2023 shooting death of a teenager at a park in Stockton. On April 12, 2023, officers responded to a report of a shooting at Unity Park where they found one teenage victim who had been shot and another who had been pistol-whipped.

Police say the victim, Thai Khin, and another student were playing basketball when two men came up to them. A robbery and fight happened that ended with a shooting.

A man accused of shooting and killing a teenager and pistol-whipping another in Stockton two years ago was arrested in the Bay Area this week, officials said.
