What movies have great endings that are bittersweet? Personally, I think Roman Holiday (1953) is a really good example. It’s a romantic comedy that stars Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck. Most of the film is light-hearted and joyful, but the ending leaves it on a slightly sad note. And I think the film really benefits from having ended this way.
