Feb 25, 2023 · The screws will barely move into the hole and when it does move into it successfully the screws at the opposite side will float up where I can’t screw then in. I’ve tried putting pressure to the screws floating as well but they barely get anywhere close to the hole enough for me to screw them in.

Jul 26, 2023 · Looks like the backplate/mounting bracket needs to be held in place so the screws can reach them. It appears that there is a gap between it and the motherboard. Easily addressed. For this reason, many attach the heatsink/CPU cooler to the motherboard BEFORE installing the motherboard into the case/chassis.
