There are two species of crocodiles in Tropical North Queensland, but aside from their name and appearance at first glance, the saltwater (or estuarine) crocodile and freshwater crocodile are quite dissimilar. The biggest difference you’ll see is their size.

If you’re venturing up to the Far North then I’d highly recommend checking out some of the saltwater crocodiles that live in the area, from a safe distance of course. They’re truly incredible animals and by observing them you’ll understand them a little better.
