Minimum wage hike a step in the right direction, organization says
Jan 29, 2025 · An anti-poverty organization says the province’s increase to the minimum wage is a small step toward reducing inequality. The province announced on Wednesday that it will increase the minimum wage to $15.70 on April 1 from $15.20, followed by a further increase to $16.50 on Oct. 1.
