Fun fact that everyone seems to either be forgetting or unaware of: Abusing an abuse victim doesn’t help anyone, especially when that victim is a kid. It doesn’t “teach them a lesson”, it doesn’t “fix them”. People who say those things are just trying to hide the fact that they’re only interested in venting their anger and other emotions on a target that they deem valid, and that they don’t actually care about the victim’s well-being beyond loosely using it as an excuse for their retribution.
