The early E series Falcons were a major era for Ford Australia, with the EB II putting Falcon back on top of the sales charts for 1992 / 1993. The importance of the EB Falcon was huge for Ford. 1988 saw the launch of the EA Falcon, $700 million later became known as perhaps the largest investment for any Australian made vehicle at the time. Late 1989 saw the release of EA II which carried out further refinements and the introduction of the locally developed BTR 4 speed electronically controlled
