Kudos to the Scholars Bowl teams from Barton Academy for Advanced World Studies and from Baker, Bryant and Davidson High Schools! In the competition on January 28 at Bishop State Community College, MCPSS teams swept the Varsity division, with Baker placing first, Bryant second and Davidson third, and Baker's team had the Varsity Top Scorer, Will McCurley. The oldest public school building in the state will become its newest public school on Wednesday, with the opening of Barton Academy for Advanced World Studies. Thanks to the Barton Academy Foundation, which raised $14 million for the interior renovation of the building, and the hard work of the teachers and staff to prepare for opening, the school is ready to welcome its first students this week. #LearningLeading | Mobile County Public Schools
