When our team decided to introduce Sailor, our senior otter, to Gary, our younger otter, they knew it had to be done thoughtfully. 💙🦦 In their natural range, male otters often form small groups. To change that, our animal care team created a careful plan. First, a mesh barrier that allowed the otters to meet nose-to-nose without risking injury.
